With the only one Gorontalo dive centre operating, you can experience the most diverse waters in the world without any of the crowds, and still only one hour from Manado. Gorontalo is expected to grow in reputation as a diving area and with such biodiversity it is easy to see why. Now is the time to go before word gets out.
The historical Melati Hotel, built in 1900, is right in town, enabling you to absorb a genuine Sulawesi cultural experience, yet still be just half an hour away from the dive sites. Gorontalo is not your typical holiday hotspot but a cute little town blessed with extraordinary marine life on its shores.

There are five deluxe and four standard rooms. All the rooms are set around the courtyard gardens.

All the diving in Goronatalo is done from an outrigger boat. Outriggers are traditional Indonesian fishing craft. They have been used successfully in Tomini Bay for centuries, as the bay is protected and the waters are very calm.
The outrigger dive boat features:
- 10 metre wooden hull
- Maximum of 6 divers
- 2 x 40 HP outboard petrol engine
- Sun and shaded area
- Wooden entry & exit ladders

Dive trips run from 08:00 - 13:00 hrs and include two dives, divemaster, as well as drinking water. Boat journey time is normally 10 - 40 minutes, but one site is one hour away.
